gifs to distract me from the speed of publishing
or, "sh!t's getting real"
Publishing is one of those things that’s first slow, then speeds up, then is a tortoise again, then suddenly everything happens at once—before a loooooong wait for the next sprint. (This week has been a sprint. See below.) Instead of meaningful words about writing, publishing, and whatever, I’m here today with some gifs that I liked this week paired with a photo of my cat that best matches the vibe.
My youngest kiddo had some kind of gross sickness thing for days. High fever, uncomfortable, etc. We took him to urgent care because it just wouldn’t.go.away. Then, poof, like magic, right after that urgent care visit he was totally better.
My parents are probably both reading this and thinking about the time I fell on the playground, cried for hours, went for an X-ray, then stretched my arm and said “ahhhh, all better,” the moment we left the ER.
Anyway. He’s better now. I, however, need at least a week of sleep to maybe catch up. (hahahaha I’ll never catch up.)
So No Man’s Sky launched the Utopia Expedition and I basically dropped everything to complete it. (Hey, friends. Feel free to shout your gamertag at me if you ever wanna, you know, like… game or something?) Anyway, after a couple of glitchy bits, I got done with the Expedition (read: glorified game tutorial) and now I have a shiny new ship. Huzzah.
I submit this with no context. Pancakes, books, cats. I mean. It’s all right there.
Okay there’s not much to say about this because, well, I just wanted an excuse to share the photo of possibly-boneless-Teeter.

What I’m Reading: I’m deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in NetGalley ARCs right now. So many. So, so many. (#blessed!) I just wrapped up WILL THEY OR WON’T THEY by Ava Wilder and it was everything. Next, I think I’m taking a quick dive into sci-fi but I haven’t decided which book yet.
What I’m Writing: I’m reverse-outlining my f/f fake dating destination romance book. I love this book and I can’t wait to polish it up!
What I’m Listening To: My classic punk station on Pandora. It’s perfectly curated thanks to 10 years of careful attention. It’s perfection.
